November is coming to an end and I am getting all geared up for Christmas. I won't lie and say that I didn't already place a few christmas items around the house.. I lack patience in the worst way. Kiel is bringing home a tree after work. I am so excited for my home to smell of pine! I plan on decorating my tree on this Friday eve with a fire burning, a glass of red in hand, and with my spotify Christmas playlist on blast! Bring on the holiday cheer!

Keep Calm.
Life has got the best of me lately and I am in serious need of an outlet for all this stress. I have decided what I want for Christmas... a month of empowered yoga, the brand new beginners course. Starting January 7th, I will be doing yoga in a 100 degree plus room for an hour and a half twice a week. This should be rather interesting considering that I can hardly touch my toes... but for some odd reason I am so up for the challenge! Hey, if holding awkward pretzel-like positions in a heated room for minutes on end helps me to decompress... then that's exactly what I am gonna do.

Be Thankful.
This Thanksgiving I am overwhelmingly thankful for so many things in my life.
I am thankful for my family. My incredible parents, who sacrificed so much to give us kids everything we ever needed and more. My three siblings, who despite all our differences, are my very favorite three people in the entire world. My grandfathers, who both have supported me through everything in my life. My grandmother, my hero, who showed me how to love all and to treat others the way you would like to be treated. I am thankful for my extended family... my amazing aunts and uncles, my thirty plus cousins, who I have shared so many ridiculous memories with as a child. I am thankful for my friends, near and far. I am thankful for my job, because it has shown me how to be compassionate for others, and how to see things from a new perspective.
I am thankful for my husband, my rock. The man who encourages me day in and day out to be the person I want to be. I am thankful for the many adventures we have gone on. I am thankful for the happy home we have built together. I am thankful for our amazing little pup, who greets me every time I walk through the door with a loving smile and a wagging tail. I am thankful for our future together, and I am hopeful that our family will grow and that I will one day be able to do for some little person, what my parents have done for me.
I am thankful.

Stop trying to “get it together.”
The biggest lie we’re told when we’re growing up is that soon as we’re adults, as soon as we’re in college, finish college, get that job, have that steady income, find that someone special, “find ourselves,” find that perfect house, get that retirement fund, have those children, everything will fall into place. Here’s a secret: it won’t. Every new development in your life, good or bad, big or small, will come with its own very special set of challenges. The sooner you accept that, the better off you’ll be.

Safety Not Guaranteed
Such a great movie. Definitely worth the watch. Aubrey Plaza is on point.
And it made me want to visit Seattle even more.
Also, give the soundtrack a listen on spotify. Big Machine is great.
