Let's Be Still

One of my favorite bands, The Head and the Heart, have released their second album this week, Let's Be Still.  If you're a fan, definitely give it a listen. It's just as good as their first album, an easy listen from beginning to end. Kiel and I are going to see them for the third time November 9th in Philly. They put on such an incredible live show. If you ever have the opportunity, go check em out! You won't be sorry.

Firefly Festival 2013

Firefly was three times what is was in 2012. Last year, the total crowd per day consisted of about 15-20,000 people... this year that number tripled at around 60,000 people per day. It was not what I expected in the least, and being that I am over seven months pregnant I was a bit overwhelmed. Kiel and I bought three day passes, but unfortunately only made it to two of the days. My pregnant body just wasn't having it on Sunday. Despite the fact that we couldn't get to enjoy the entire event, we did catch some incredible bands consisting of: Atlas Genius, Dr. Dog, Avett Brothers, Alabama Shakes, Last Royals acoustic set, and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Not to mention, that we got to spend some time with many of our long distance pals spread across the east coast. Overall, the weekend was a total success. It took about two days to recover from the intense heat, and all the walking, but I think it was well worth the effort. I'm thinking maybe just one day next year.. if we can find a babysitter.

Festival Style

Delaware's Firefly Festival is coming up soon and I have been mulling over what wear. Dressing my ever-growing body is not quite as easy as it used to be, so it's important to plan ahead. I'm really hoping that the weather holds out this year!

NEED.

An amazing discovery, thanks to Pinterest
"The iShower, a water-resistant music system for use as you get squeaky clean, is now shipping for $100. Despite its name, the iShower should have no trouble playing the compatibility game, thanks to its Bluetooth connectivity with support for up to five paired devices. What's more, you won't need to bust out the tools to install the iShower, as the mounting system's built-in adhesive lets you pretend to be a handyman without doing any real work -- the unit can also be hung over the shower head if you're wary of sticky residue. The music system runs on three AA batteries and provides up to 15 hours of sudsy listening time, and there's even a built-in clock, for those unfortunate mornings when you need to cut the rock operas short. "

Amazing right?!?  This will quickly be added to my want list.

Firefly

So incredibly excited to spend a weekend full of live music, catching up with friends, dogfish firefly ale, and sunshine.

What to Wear/Bring?
via pinterest
Might be smart to bring a blanket/tapestry to lounge on and a durable ziplock bag in case of rain. Kiel's phone was totally destroyed last year at Lollapalooza. Also, you can check out my previous post on Festival Style, or go to Free People's Online Festival Shop for more ideas on what to wear and bring!
