London iPhoneography

London was such an incredible city. Although the weather was a bit drab while we were there, we still managed to have a wonderful time. (My hunter boots came in handy) We stayed right by the London Eye, and had picturesque views of the city within a 2-minute walk from our hotel. Our first day was a kind of blur, seeing that we had an overnight flight and I didn't sleep too well on the plane. (Kiel was out like a light of course) We took the tube from the airport, which was an interesting experience. Mind the Gap! Our metro stop was Westminster Abbey, and when we walked up those stairs to the street, Big Ben was staring us right in the eye. We checked-in to our hotel by the early afternoon and the rest was history. We adjusted well to the time difference and spent the next four days touring the city like crazy. It was an incredible place, full of history. I would recommend it to anyone.

Top ten things we did while in London, England:
(In no particular order)
1. Walked through Covent Garden
2. Ate a hearty meal and drank cider and ale at a pub in the Picadilly Circus area
3. Took a tour of the Tower of London (Phenomenal and probably the best attraction within the city)
4. Visited the National Portrait Gallery
5. Ate banana nutella crepes and drank wine at the Real Food Festival
6. Took photos of Buckingham Palace (we missed the changing of the guard. boo. )
7. Walked through Hyde Park and ate on the Lake
8. Took photos of the city from the top of the London Eye
9. Took a tour to Windsor Castle, Bath, and Stonehenge
10. Went shopping in Soho
