Summer Beauty Essentials

1. Bare Minerals SPF 30 Natural Sunscreen is a must for summer. This product is super light, and doesn't give you the greasy, oily feel that other sunscreens do. I also have acne-prone skin, and this product protects from the sun while fighting break-outs.
2. Maybelline Baby Lips SPF 20 is the bomb. After a few days in the sun, my lips burn like a crisp. I used this lip balm on my last vacation to Florida, and it worked like a charm.
3. Geometric Headbands. This one, in particular, is from south moon under. I have acquired quite a collection over the last few months., most of which are from Forever21 and Nordstrom Juniors. These two stores offer an array of vibrant headbands for a great, affordable price.
4. Benefit High Beam is the perfect highlighter. This is my go-to summer beauty product. It gives skin that dewy, summer glow, without making your face look greasy. A little goes a long way, and just be careful not to apply powder on top, it can make skin look cakey.
5. Frederick Fekkai Summer Hair makes the perfect loose waves, and smells like coconut.
6. Bath and Bodyworks Aruba Coconut Skin Balm is my absolute favorite after-sun lotion... mostly because of how delicious it smells.

Over the past few weeks, I have been struggling with this mop of mine. These prenatal vitamins are no joke. My hair is growing like an absolute weed and I just can't keep up! I presented several hair styles to my man yesterday... needless to say, he prefers my locks long. As much as I am craving a drastic hair change, I think keeping my hair long is the best choice... mostly because I regret cutting it short every single time. (Even though a long bob is super tempting!) So instead of a radical cut, I am going to go for a fun color change. A blended ombre style with a heavier side bang. Fingers crossed that my hair turns out even half as good as style number four.

It's Time

It's time for a new look and thanks to pinterest, I think I have found just what I've been looking for.
Kate Beckinsale, you are a goddess and I want to look like you. Here's hoping my talented hair dresser can pull it off!

Top Knot How-To

My new favorite hair-do.
The Top-knot

Check out this how-to to get a messy top knot:
Step #1: Make your hair dirty.  When your hair is too clean, it won’t stay put.
Step #2: Next, pull together your hair and hold it straight up
Step #3: Then twist your hair down to a few inches above the crown.
Step #4: Wrap your hair around itself until it forms a loose bun, right on top of your head.
Step #5: Pin the bun in place with bobby pins. Anywhere from four to eight, depending on how thick your hair is. You want it loose but secure.
Step #6: Finally, pull loose strands of hair from the nape of your neck and around your face to make it look like you’ve worn the bun all day.
 And there you have it!
