These are a few of my favorite things

This blog makes me want to re-decorate my entire home, especially this room.

A most effortless summer hair style.

The most amazing color block maxi skirt.. so wishing I could wear it this summer.

The cutest little family you ever did see.

The most adorable street style I have ever seen.

The best baby boy collection from BabyGap, and a sweet deal.

The best place to buy prints on the web.

Summer Beauty Essentials

1. Bare Minerals SPF 30 Natural Sunscreen is a must for summer. This product is super light, and doesn't give you the greasy, oily feel that other sunscreens do. I also have acne-prone skin, and this product protects from the sun while fighting break-outs.
2. Maybelline Baby Lips SPF 20 is the bomb. After a few days in the sun, my lips burn like a crisp. I used this lip balm on my last vacation to Florida, and it worked like a charm.
3. Geometric Headbands. This one, in particular, is from south moon under. I have acquired quite a collection over the last few months., most of which are from Forever21 and Nordstrom Juniors. These two stores offer an array of vibrant headbands for a great, affordable price.
4. Benefit High Beam is the perfect highlighter. This is my go-to summer beauty product. It gives skin that dewy, summer glow, without making your face look greasy. A little goes a long way, and just be careful not to apply powder on top, it can make skin look cakey.
5. Frederick Fekkai Summer Hair makes the perfect loose waves, and smells like coconut.
6. Bath and Bodyworks Aruba Coconut Skin Balm is my absolute favorite after-sun lotion... mostly because of how delicious it smells.

Happy Mother's Day

For me, this year, Mother's Day has a whole new meaning. I have found myself to be extremely emotional today. I am overwhelmed by the love I have for my Mom. She has given me unconditional support throughout my entire life. Lately, things have been especially crazy for me and she has been my rock. I am so very grateful to have her in my life. I couldn't imagine going through any of this without her.

I am somehow even more overwhelmed by the love I have for my son. Our little man hasn't even entered the world, and he has somehow managed to make me a better person. He has helped me to always look for the positive in life... to focus on what's really important and to soak up each and every moment. I thank God each day for giving Kiel and I this amazing blessing. We are truly so incredibly lucky. I just cannot wait to kiss his little face!

With all that being said, Happy Mother's Day to all you out there! Enjoy your special day, kick up your feet and relax! xoxo

New Fave

Hive and Honey is my new favorite online discovery. These quality, affordable jewels can be found on piperlime.com. They make so many classic pieces that will go with everything you own. This could be a problem for my wallet.

Happy Nurse's Week!

Nursing is an easy profession to poke fun at sometimes... after all, we clean up bodily fluids, and give people sponge baths and enemas on a regular basis. But despite all the little things we do, we have a really big job. I take an immense amount of pride in my profession. As a nurse working in critical care, I take care of the sickest of the sick. I hug my patient's families, and give them a shoulder to cry on when things don't go as planned. I am also the person to deliver good news, when a patient condition improves. Some of my colleagues are, by far, the hardest working people I know and I couldn't be more honored to work alongside them! So with all that being said, Cheers to Nurses! Saving lives one day at a time!
